About the Brewery
Darach Brewing Company is a taproom focused brewery located in Bellingham, WA. We make farmhouse-inspired beers, focusing on wild and spontaneous fermentation, while also crafting excellent IPAs and dark beers. Darach is Gaelic for “oak”, and a large portion of our beers spend time in oak barrels before being released. In addition to our offerings that we make on-site, Darach Brewing also sells a rotating selection of lagers, ciders, and wine produced by some of our favorite breweries / cideries / wineries in the region. We are family and dog friendly, and offer non-alcoholic drinks for the kiddos, DD’s, and anyone else who wants them. While we do not have a kitchen, we encourage our guests to bring in food or order from any of the fantastic restaurants downtown for delivery.
So, How Do You Pronounce the Brewery’s Name?
DARACH · ˈd̪ˠaɾʲəx · [dar-rock]
The above soundbite is the traditional, Gaelic pronunciation of “darach.” Instead of going with the traditional pronunciation, we decided to make it a little easier on ourselves by removing the guttural sound and replacing it with a “k”. So, we pronounce “Darach” as “Dar-rock.” The inspiration for the name came from the barrels that are part of the aging process in many of the beers we are planning on making and Shawn’s Irish and Scottish heritage.

Our Beers
All of the beers we make are brewed in house on our 5 barrel electric brewhouse. We make an eclectic mix of old world and new school beers, all while putting our own spin on them. Our taplist is kept fresh by not offering any core/flagship beers. But, customers can expect us to have at least one beer on draft from the farmhouse, hoppy/IPA, and dark beer categories.
